Corporate social responsibility: How does your organization compare?

How does your organization measure up to others when it comes to corporate social responsibility?

Did you have a program this year that went above the norm in giving back to your community or a special cause?

PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards program salutes those who have enhanced the lives of others over the past year.

Do you have what it takes to be globally recognized in this increasingly important aspect of corporate culture? Look at how last year’s winners set themselves apart in making a difference to our communities here, and check out some of our stars in social advocacy below:

1. Kid President took a stance on childhood hunger with Ketchum’s ConAgra Foods & ConAgra Foods Foundation Media Relations/PR Campaign. The Web celebrity’s video was central to this campaign, which focuses on feeding kids while school is out for the summer. Volunteer-oriented mothers were asked to watch the video and advocate for Feeding America, which provides nourishment to children in “food insecure” homes. Watch the video that made waves and made a difference in the lives of children here.

2. Time Warner Cable took pride in its LGBTQ advocacy. As part of the Charlotte Pride Festival, Time Warner Cable supported the LGBTQ community in a big way, hosting an extra-large booth and inviting attendees to take photos and celebrate their pride. It also dedicated three weeks of air time to promote the festival to the greater Charlotte community. Check out this amazing campaign here.

3. Pedigree gave to dogs in need with #DogTales. Every time someone used that hashtag, Pedigree donated a bowl of food to a dog shelter. With the help of celebrities like Josh Duhamel, David Ortiz and Miranda Lambert, Weber Shandwick and Pedigree teamed up to promote and provide healthful meals for shelter dogs. We want to see you on this list next year. Show us your stuff, and prove to the world that you make a difference. Apply for PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards. We have 18 categories for you to demonstrate how you were a catalyst for positive change in your community.
