Starbucks teams up with Microsoft Outlook for desktop plug-in

The coffee-chain’s brand managers want “Starbucks [to] help simplify how you give and connect.”

That’s the goal anyway, for the latest in a duel partnership between the coffee giant and Microsoft’s Outlook. Through the new add-in for Outlook, users can incorporate Starbucks into your daily communication.

The Starbucks for Outlook add-in allows users to easily set up meetings at a Starbucks location or send a gift certificate to another users with just a few clicks.

Here’s how it works:

Before you get too excited, no, this does not mean you’re guaranteed a table at the super-busy Starbucks where you can never get a table.

So far, consumer reviews have been mixed. Of the 11 customer reviews on the download page, five users have gotten error messages when they try to install the add-in.
